Sandra Binney

Sandra has been practising as a Solicitor in the Northern Rivers Area for over 25 years. With that time comes significant experience in the practice of Law and across a wide range of areas including Family Law, Estate planning, Family Provision Claims, Will drafting and various commercial transactions including working with businesses small and large to assist in their legal needs.

Sandra also has a particular interest in working with those involved in the Agriculture and Rural Industry and developing plans for Farm Succession.

Sandra prides herself on the relationships she builds with her clients in providing professional advice but with personal attention. This has seen Sandra develop a long list of happy and repeat clients over a number of years.

Kelly’s practice focuses on civil and commercial disputes and litigation for clients across New South Wales and south-eastern Queensland in all civil courts including and up to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. Kelly has acted for a broad range of clients including individuals, corporations, government bodies, and not for profits. As a regional practitioner Kelly values legal work which delivers realistic and practical outcomes to clients in difficult and complex disputes involving multiple stakeholders and competing interests and areas of law. It is an overall priority in Kelly’s practice to approach clients’ legal issues with a lateral perspective and a commitment to seeking a resolution.

Kelly’s areas of practice specifically include disputes in relation to mortgages, debts, loans, breach and enforcement of contracts, and applications for possession of land, building and construction contracts and payment claims advice, environmental planning advice, appeals, and offences including in the Land & Environment Court, development control orders, disputes relating to property including easements, rights of access, claims for grants of rights of carriageway and s 88K of the Conveyancing Act 1919, adverse possession, misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and claims for the enforcement of equitable interests in land, leases and the eviction of tenants. Kelly also practises in disputes relating to the administration of Estates such as for plaintiffs and estates in claims for further provision, the removal of executors, claims for possession against beneficiaries or third parties as well as claims for damages and unpaid monies owed to Estates.

Guy Draper

Guy has extensive trial and advisory experience across the spectrum of criminal law. Guy was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008, and developed a successful practice as a criminal defence barrister in London before qualifying as a lawyer in NSW in 2021. Guy’s experience in criminal advocacy means he is swiftly able to distil the issues in a matter and to set them out with clarity in court. His analytical and robust attention to cases is combined with an approachable and relaxed manner with his clients.

Guy has successfully defended criminal charges across a broad range of seriousness, from minor summary offences (common assault, traffic matters etc) to serious indictable matters, such as sexual assault, armed robbery, large-scale fraud, causing death by dangerous driving, money laundering, child cruelty, arson and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He routinely appears in the Local and District Courts of NSW, and accepts instructions in all criminal matters.

Jenny has been in practice since 1982 and has been a Family Law Accredited Specialist for almost 30 years (including time working for the then Family Court of Australia in the Brisbane, Lismore, Gold Coast, and Coffs Harbour registries).

She brings her specialist experience to both parenting and financial disputes. Jenny understands that each person has individual goals and she endeavours to ensure that her clients have the necessary advice, are provided with appropriate strategies, and are aware of their options so they are fully informed and can make the best decisions to effectively and respectfully resolve their matter.

Whilst a highly skilled advocate, Jenny derives much professional satisfaction in being able to take advantage of the dispute resolution options including those available well before there is any consideration of Court proceedings.

The majority of Jenny’s time is spent in Family Law but she also has a busy Conveyancing, Wills and Estate practice.

She considers herself privileged to be trusted to guide people through critically important stages in their life.

Jenny is a local, proud of the Northern Rivers region. She is committed to not only her clients but her community. She has had various roles in sporting organisations – sport being one of her great passions.

She is the Chair of the Far North Coast Family Law Practitioners’ Association and on the Steering committee of Family Law Pathways Network (Northern Rivers). Jenny is the Deputy Chair of Jodie’s Inspiration Inc and an executive committee member of Lord’s Taverners Northern NSW.

Brendan Ware is a highly qualified solicitor at Parker & Kissane Solicitors, dedicated to providing expert legal services in Lismore/Ballina, NSW. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Charles Darwin University and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of SA and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of both South Australia (1997) and New South Wales (1998), as well as the High Court of Australia.

With a career spanning several reputable firms, including Trenches McKenzie Cox and Trenches Solicitors, Brendan brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients.

When Court proceedings are required, Georgie draws on her over two decades of litigation experience to advocate strongly for her clients’ interests. She is recognised for her professionalism, integrity, and open/clear communication, and is deeply committed to empowering people through difficult transitions to more positive stages of their lives with professionalism and care.

Georgie has expertise in complex property settlements, sensitive parenting disputes involving allegations of child abuse, family violence and paternity, and spousal maintenance.

Steve was born in Lismore and commenced his legal career through articles of clerkship, being admitted as a solicitor in 1979. He spent a decade in partnership practice in Tamworth before returning to Lismore in 1987.

Over his career, Steve has focused extensively on personal injury litigation and family law, achieving accreditation as a specialist in both fields while practising in Lismore.

Beyond his practice, Steve served as President of the Far North Coast Law Society for three years. Following the sale of Trenches McKenzie Cox Solicitors, he joined Parker & Kissane Solicitors, where he continues to contribute as a consultant.
